WTS Toronto Area Scholarship

The WTS Toronto Chapter aims to further the development of the transportation industry through gender diversification within the local workforce. In an effort to promote gender diversity and attract young talent, a scholarship has been established by the WTS Toronto Chapter.

HOW THE SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM WORKS
The scholarship is open to any student who meets the following criteria:

  • Are registered full-time at a post-secondary institution in the Greater Toronto and Hamilton Area and the Kitchener/Waterloo/Guelph are in 2025. 
  • Are pursuing a degree which will lead to a career focused on transportation.
  • Have a demonstrable interest in promoting the advancement of gender diversity within the transportation industry.

Deadline to apply: September 30, 2025, 11:59pm.

We are also offering additional scholarships:

  • One Indigenous Scholarship for a post-secondary school student who identifies as Indigenous (First Nations, Métis, and Inuit). The Indigenous undergraduate student scholarship is open to any enrolled post-secondary school students with Indigenous heritage who are pursuing a degree or diploma in planning, economics, engineering, political science, environmental science, automotive and other programs that will lead to a career focused on transportation. Students are eligible if they are currently attending a college or university within Canada.
  • A Focused Scholarship related to a specific industry focus area with relevance to the transportation industry.

Indigenous scholarship applications are accepted year-round.
