Work Study (Co-op/Internship)

Spring/Summer 2026

Sheridan offers financial support for Co-op/Internship domestic student employment through its Work Study program. Students must apply each term for consideration and can apply for one position per term.

If you are seeking a Co-op or Internship position with a Sheridan College employer, you may be required to apply and be eligible for Work Study. Please use this application to consider your eligibility for Co-op/Internship Work Study funding.

Eligibility Requirements
You must be a domestic student registered in a Sheridan post-secondary program and demonstrate financial need.

You must meet the following enrolment criteria:
You must be scheduled to enroll in a co-op/internship work term and have academic enrollment in the semesters before and after the work term.

The deadline to submit your application is June 7, 2026, or once funding is exhausted for the term.

FAQ’s

When will I know the outcome of my application?
Applications will be reviewed within two weeks of submission.

Can an application be resubmitted?
If your Work Study application is denied, you may reply to the decision email and request an opportunity to review and update your application.

How do I complete the budget portion of this application?
You will need to download, save, and complete each section of the budget template that is hyperlinked within the applicable application question. If a section does not apply to you, enter “0”.
There are maximums in place for some categories. If you can provide evidence that your expenses exceed the maximum, please submit a Service Request to have the expense considered.

What are my next steps?
Visit Sheridan Works to get started applying for on-campus jobs. You will need to upload your Work Study Approved email as a supporting document along with your resume, cover letter, etc., to any position you are applying to.
