Canerector Foundation Scholarship
The Canerector Foundation Scholarship will support students in identified programs from the Magna School for Skilled Trades.
Eligibility criteria:
- Must be a Canadian Citizen, Permanent Resident or Protected Person
- Must be a new student enrolled full-time in the 1st year and first semester of one of the following programs:
– Electrical Engineering Technician
– Electrical Techniques
– Mechanical Technician – CNC & Precision Machining
– Mechanical Technician – Industrial Millwright
– Mechanical Techniques – CNC & Precision Machining
– Mechanical Techniques – Plumbing
– Plumbing Technician
– Welding and Fabrication Technician
– Welding Techniques - Must have a minimum 3.0 GPA from the previous term. Applicant’s Fall 2026 GPA will be used; recipients will be notified in January 2027.
- Recipients are required to participate in mentorship opportunities each term, including in-person/online sessions and facility tours.
- Recipients will be connected to the Women in Skilled Trades Network for mentorship and industry engagement opportunities.
To renew their award, recipients must maintain a minimum 3.0 term GPA.
Scholarship amounts will be distributed as follows:
- $2,000 per term for one-year programs, up to a maximum of $4,000
- $2,000 per term for two-year programs, up to a maximum of $8,000
